The Berkeley is the best pub in Wigan to watch rugby in. Massive screen as well as 10+ large tv's. Cracking atmosphere and packed when Wigan is on, even upstairs on couches.

I did think about Berkley Square at first (if that's where you're on about) but wasn't sure if they would be playing music over the top of the match with it being a Friday night and a town centre pub. Millstone's a bit too cramped for my liking and not sure about the atmos.

I think the surgeon last went to the Berkley square in 1998! Don't go for the game! Go to Sams bar scholes. There is more than one in Wigan. Don't mix em up whatever u do!

Millstone is very pro soccer. Still alright for that end of Wigan. If u could stretch to the the Bel air nr the hospital then that's a good un too. Very very pro rugby. In fact players have there end of season 3 day 'drink off' there IRC.

You need a nice quiet pub to concentrate on the Rugby , try the Bulls Head at Goose Green , or the Crooked Wheel , at Worsley Mesnes .

It's th'only one I know, though last time I were in it were Ball n Boot!

Me ? 1998 ,.............. at least i know it hasn't been called Berkeley square for YEARS. It is the Berkeley. Watched Wigan there 3 times THIS season, packed to the gunnels with Wigan fans.

Enjoyed it at Sam's Bar. Didn't get the usual ribbing from Mr Birchall when he spotted me so that's always a positive. My only quibble would be the size of the screens.

The Station Sports Bar is great in Appley Bridge. Great ales at great prices...
