My gas boiler is celebrating it's 31st birthday this year, and it's still going strong. Yeah it makes a bit of racket, and I have to hit it with a firm fist to middle of the panel to start it. But it's still chugging away and it doesn't cost me an arm an a leg to run either.

Failing that. Ring British gas. They do a fixed price repair. Three price tiers depending on how long it takes. Rough guide. Repaired within 30 mins £70. 30-120 mins £190. These prices include any parts regardless of part value

| i just got mine fixed last week, i found the chap on Wigan council good trader website it gives ratings on people who have done work. If the tradesman can be bothered getting himself signed up then they must be worth a shot.  |
