More of a stampede than a stroll.

If one were to alliterate, one would expect the first phoneme of each word to be the same. In 'Wigan Walk' this condition is met by the 'W' phoneme. However, Sc and St do not fulfill this condition. The initial sound of each word is not the same. This occurs due to 'blending' where the sound is not formed by idividual letters.

In conclusion; Wigan walk, other fans are not so fickle.

I much prefer the 'stains stroll'.

What he or she doesn't realise is that I spent eight years at Widnes College back in the late 1960's early 1970's so I know my way in and out of the town.

If the Saints fans are so stupid to go up Kingsway to go back to St. Helens then that's their fault.
We were on the tech car park at 10 p.m. and in Billinge for 10:25 end of story.

To be honest though I prefer a better game from Saints. It makes the 'derby' more thrilling and entertaining. I hope they improve a bit.

We had 3k in our end, which means only 8k Saints fans went that game. For a derby, and the chance to go top if you win it, that's pathetic.
