| Don't forget Mossop made a 30m break for one of the tries, so meter readings may be inflated

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

| Quality from Mossop. Our forwards need to work this hard on friday as well. Hopefull Hoffman will be on all game.
Liam Farrell should be one of the first names on the team sheet.

That's true, in fact without that break Prescott would probably have been top metre maker out of the forwards. He just happened to be the one who put Mossop through the gap! That's why I think despite the massive effort from Mossop, Prescott just edges him as our best forward. He's an excellent ball player, better than James Graham in that department in my opinion, he just doesn't get to do it often enough.

| I saw theses stats this morning in league express, and wasn't surprised by Mossop and Prescott's effort's. The both of them were superb, and the meters they made on contact were nothing short of excellent. For me Prescott's one of the best props in SL at present, and has a great opportunity against Wire like he had against the Giants to show those opposistion fans just how good he is.

I agree. He's (Paul Prescott) putting in a high level of performance on a consistent basis, which is very pleasing to see. Although this friday will be his biggest test.
Like I've said before, if he can keep this form up consistently he will join the Josh Charnley's, Sam Tomkins', Joel Tomkins', Lee Mossop's etc on a long-term deal.

Yes that's true, but isn't that just the point, Mossop made a tremendous break and made the yards, that's what we want to see isn't it, big forwards busting through tackles and taking the ball up?

A statement I do not agree with in the slightest.
If Lee didnt make that break, we possibly wouldnt of scored the try. He deserves all the plaudits he is getting for metres made.
Just because he made a 30m break, we cant just forget and just count the yardage up until collision in tackles.

Agree.
Mossop isn't a great prospect any more. He's already a top player. He's one of the best forwards in SL. (Will any trolls be foolish enough to argue with that?). The one criticism anyone could have had is that last season he had a bit of a tendency to only show up in the big games but this season he's been very good so far.
With Prescott and Mossop firing, Farrell looking good, Lockers and the Hoff being among the early front runners for MoS and McIlorum tackling like a machine the forwards are looking very good. It will be a massive test on Friday but I'm sure they'll give a good account of themselves. We have a pack that after the Hudds game will be very confident and rightly so.

23997_1287161421.jpg
Great game of rugby league. Fantastic atmosphere, Wigan were breathtaking and dominant in all areas for the first 25 minutes, coupled with us making alot of dumb mistakes, then fortunately they brought McIlorum on which helped us back into the game. I thought some of the tries we scored to get us within two we're out of this world stuff. Towards the end we had to force it a little and we had a few things go wrong, i.e Monas kick on the first for King and Solomona going off who was causing havoc. Wigan were clinical in their eventual execution of us. Proud of Wire today and gave us a little glimpse to the future. Silverwood was awful as per, but I expect no less. Tomkins is a world class player and by far the best english player in SL. Wigan are a champion side and would be a worthy winner of taking our title as challenge cup. Good luck over the next month and a bit.
:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_23997.jpg |
