| They always get it at the end of their tenth season, once they have done the decade!
He started in 2002 as a first team player so should be up for a testimonial match next preseason! Would love a Warrington game at the DW. Scored his first try for the club against Wire, so why not have his testimonial match agaisnt them and get another on the board!

| I've always been one of his biggest supporters and infact he's probably one of the only topics i've had a few run ins with opposition supporters on rlfans over. He hasn't always been held in the highest regard by other teams fans(or some of our own tbh) but unless you watch the guy week in week out you just don't realise how talented he is. He's a tackle machine but with ball in hand he's all class and his range of passing is fantastic, he's also very tough and really hits hard in defence and attack.
He's had some lean times at Wigan and had to captain the side in some very drak days and he derseves every reward that comes his way wheather that be England caps, Wigan trophies, the skippers armband or a testimonial.
Superb.

| NK, you and I have fought many battles with opposition and our own fans regarding Lockers.
The man is and always has been a class act.
I really hope he gets the testimonial he deserves.

| I must admit i saw him as an average player for years.
He lacked pace but to his credit looked very solid in defence, i was also critical of him as a leader and captain.
Oh rugby gods please forgive me!
( i was never critical of his hair though)

I was expecting "Amen".
Lockers - proven every year to be the player and the capt. Suffered the shadow of Faz, the doom of Millward, average but nearly Noble and now the shining light of success in Maguire.
Many others with Locker's skill would have moved on, it's not like he can't just phone Faz and see what's possible.

| Hopefull a testimonial is coming his way. Wonder if Whelan will sanction it, or it may even depend on Latics Prem status. If Latics go down then Wigan RL will more or less take over the stadium.

| Lockers.
Great player, Great servant and a cracking leader and fully deserves everything he gets next year as lets face it, he will complete this season and play for us next season
We really do miss him when he doesnt play, his stats each week are awesome and we have even discovered a different side to his game under Maguire with his great selection of passing.
Wouldnt swap him for any other 13 in the league.. even Sinfield before any Rhino fans pop up.

I'm sure he will.
I'm no expert, but if he gets a testimonial in 2012, that'll be 7 years since a Wigan lad has had one I think. Just goes to show the changes the club went through in the fairly recent past.

| My only gripe with Lockers in the past was his ball retention which he sorted out around 2007/8.

| As already mentioned I would not swap Lockers for anyone. Will end up being a true Wigan legend, class act on the field and even better off the field. A Testimonial will be the least he deserves.

Always felt the lad deserves more praise from our own/opposition supporters/pundits/journalists etc.

Well put, people who say he's over rated are usually biased fans, casual fans or their mother ran off with the milkman who had curley hair too!

| Lockers was the best loose forward in Super League by a long way last year, but he'll always get undue criticism from opposition fans. He's one of those players who is constantly underrated by opposition fans and occasionally by his own.
It doesn't really matter how many opposition fans rate him or don't rate him though, because pretty much every coach in Super League would put him down as England's best 13. It's little surprise that he constantly gets picked for England regardless of who the coach is.
I know that a lot of people previously said that he wasn't really a captain and some will now say that the introduction of the leadership team has taken pressure off him and allowed him to play better. That may be so, but was he actually a bad captain before? Perhaps this season will show whether there's any link to his captaincy and how we play but I doubt it. I think O'Loughlin was just incredibly unfortunate to take up the captaincy during a period when the club was in decline and badly mismanaged. I don't think anyone would have done any better than he did during that time. It seems to me that people put too much emphasis on the role of captain. I don't think it makes a significant difference on the performance of the team, and a good captain is usually surrounded by many leaders on the field, which makes the job a lot easier.
