| Huge blow as he has done such a great job
IL doesn't sound very impressed at all!
Maybe he wanted a job in which he will get less moidering from the fans!

| Big loss for the club.
Don't blame him for moving for financial reasons as most of us would to the same.
It's just a shame he isn't going to stay to see through the projects and ideas he has set up.
The money must big huge for him to ditch the club half way through the season.

| got told this at the huddersfield game - gutted as he has done so much to bring our club forward as a commercial aspect and was also very friendly.

| He's jumped jobs a few times looking at his career record. Simon Collinson is the bloke that drives the club commercially, let's hope he stays.

That's what I thought as well to be honest.

Yeah, I can understand his fustration considering all these projects Hogan has setup yet isn't going to bother following them through because of the fact he's been offered big bucks elsewhere.
On the other hand, I don't blame Hogan for chasing the ££££ as I'd do the same.
That's business I suppose.

I heard it was Sale RU.
I just hope he doesn't take any of the back room staff with him i.e. Simon Collinson.

Course it is. I've been extremely pi55ed off in the past when people I thought to be key staff members have beggered off, but really, what can you do? If someone wants to go, why try and keep them here if it's not where they want to be?
Equally, though, you shouldn't bitch to other staff members, or customers, about their decision. I'm sure Lenegan hasn't become the businessman he is today without having to take a few things on the chin in his time.
I'm also sure that there will be a good few, equally good, people ready and willing to take on the CEO job. I'd be in there like a shot if I had sports club experience.

| I thought Wigan could pay what they wanted for whoever they wanted - is there a salary cap for CEOs?
Shame that - I have no idea how involved he's been in the commercial side of Wigan RL (other than several posts on here crediting him with good work) but here's hoping Wigan keep up the good work in his absence.

I thought that. Joe Lydon has a habit of moving on every couple of years or so.

You could say bitchy but looks more like restrained anger to me. As another poster said, Hogan has jumped ship mid-project and it sounds as if Lenaghan hasn't got anyone to fill the sizeable hole.
If another school offered me enough money I'd leave my job tomorrow but it would have to be quite a big amount as I love my job.
