With penalty clauses in the Sky contract if Salford don’t fulfil their fixtures, I’m sure clubs will continue to provide loan players as it works in all their best interests.

Exposure to SL for some prospects even in basically unwinnable games. 

It's very quiet on the recruitment front.

Obviously we know the 2 x Saints lads are coming in which I see as cover/projects.

With Byrne and Hill leaving we have Eseh and Makin to play more of a role....but I don't see a place for Chan.

With the new teams joining opportunity to unload players on the fringes who have little chance of breaking through.

I think we need to retain Faz, to lose all the leadership him and Isa brought in a 2 year period would be dangerous, but his minutes need to be reduced as we transition away from the Faz era. Vaughn and Hirst are projects and Nsemba's form I feel is suffering due to over exposure. As such we need a SL ready second row.

I'd also like to see us target an athletic 13 to provide a point of difference and competition for Ellis.

Ellis can cover prop as well and whilst we have others who can play 13 ie Thompson and Havard I'd like to see us bring in something a little more athletic with strike. Appreciate O'Neil can play there too but again he doesn't tick the athletic box for me.

Backs I think are pretty settled and don't really need strengthening unless we look at another project.

Douglas has played several games this season already. Do we see Sambou as being able to fill this role? We've obviously got Eckersley, but he's played most weeks due to injuries, so I don't think we can just have one outside back reserve.

Vaughn can play centre and French can play 1 too with Farrimond in the halves so plenty of options including Sambou too.
