Firstly, any ethical issues aside - clubs can't break the cap even if they wanted to these days as it is live - the players wouldn't be registered to play. Secondly, are you aware that Wigan were recently the only club to vote in favour of scrapping the salary cap at a recent vote? It was voted down 11-1.
That answers all the arguments about the priorities of the other clubs then. They'd rather win a poor league, than play in a great one. And to think, actual fans of Wigan think we should just accept it. What's the point in having power if you aren't going to use it? Like I said, enjoy watching Wigan Globe Trotters if that’s your idea of fun. You make the most bizarre statements then accuse people of not responding then ignore the fact you look silly when they do and go on another mad train of debate. Very random indeed. You only find it bizarre because you don't agree with it. Or worse, you can't get accept I'm right. I've showed you one of the most profitable and biggest brands in world sport. You've decided, for some strange reason, they don't count. Madrid should be the absolute goal for every sporting club in the world. They produce world class players, sign top tier talent - all whilst making money hand over fist and doing what's right for them. Do you think they care that a team like Girona don't get to compete?

If that's the case then slow cap for Radlinski.
Freshen things up - people are paying hard earned money to watch us win, not to see a load of kids or lads who are knackered.
Just make it happen, whatever it takes to make Wigan get 3 in a row.
I've never known a club that puts the wants of its fan base so low down on its agenda.
I have never known a club to win as many trophies as Wigan has in the history of RL,somebody must be doing something right but maybe it's not for everyone supporting the most successful club in RL. Keep happy clapping until the end. OH I will,Wigan have given me so much pleasure from Hanley/Edwards/Richards/Faz/Tomkins/Lockers etc etc that no other team could match that,so I will carry on supporting the greatest RL team of all time while you carry on bitching and whining about the current Champions and WCC holders at the same time. Good one. Says more about and your intelligence (or lack of it) than anything else. Absolutely nothing noble about being a happy clapping enabler. So you have decided that I and many others that do not agree with your insane ramblings of a troubled mind are lacking of intelligence,I would say every one of the replies that derided you statement (and the following ones) are far more intelligent than you are

| Jenna Brooks saying big news announced at Catalans tomorrow involving Wigan. Fingers crossed it's our rumoured game in Paris and not a Sam Tomkins style exit for one of our players.

You are getting yourself mixed in your own arguments. 1 - Saying Wigan should win every trophy and then saying we should intentionally break the cap (which would result in us winning no trophies) 2 - Using the Spain and Real Madrid example, without acknowledging that Spanish clubs can only spend what they earn (revenue). 3 - Stating the cap isn't working instead of saying "the cap isn't working as intended" or "the benefits of removing/increasing the cap would far outweigh those keeping it as it is" I am sure everyone agrees something needs to be done with the cap, a better tv deal, more academies/reserves, better promoting of the sport etc but you lose credibility when you use outlandish claims and examples.

I'm not, you're just misunderstanding it. The Spanish league is an example a league, where despite all the power and trophies are being shared between two (maybe three) sides - the sport in that country continues to flourish. It's a proven example that having/wanting a competitive league, where the bottom side can beat the top side - doesn't need to be the north star that RL makes it out to be. It was a direct response to the posters who say that Wigan winning everything is bad for business. That argument is simply not true. The sport can still flourish (& has done previously), even when there's a big disparity in how competitive each side is.

| €200 000 000 loss reported across clubs in the Spanish top league last year.
€750 000 000 owed to the Spanish government in tax that clubs can’t afford to pay back.
The demise of clubs like Deportivo and Malaga.
“Flourishing”
Somewhat ironically since the league added the 30% wage cap against turnover the above position has been achieved as it was significantly worse with unrestricted spending.

Yeah it is "flourishing" Spain are the current Europe champions, Madrid are the most successful European side in the sport. 1st team to make over a billion in a year. Barcelona are arguably the biggest name in the sport etc. Do you think anyone outside of Málaga cares they went under? Do you think I care if Wakefield goes under? If anything I'd celebrate it.

Clearly it’s not, the figures confirm it’s not, but it’s like debating with a child so will leave it there. You do understand the difference between revenue and profit don’t you?!

Whatever, there's no thick like Yorkshire RL thick and that's you. If you don't think Real Madrid aren't doing well, or that Spain aren't doing well - there's no point arguing.
