Somebody a few rows in front of me came back late for the second half cursing the "shambolic" bar situation, massive queues and she had to get bitter instead of lager. This seems to be a regular, big crowd problem.

Personally I've given up buying booze at the stadium. It usually involves large queues, high prices and $h1t beer.

It was excellent in the corporate lounge. Beer waiting on the table at half time. A good night was had my all, as I know by my head this morning.

Didn't like the way they took the team photos with their backs to the crowd. Should have let us all see the team.

The cynic in me suggests this is so we all go out and buy a newspaper to see what was going on

the only alternative was to have the players backs to the North Stand which wouldn't have made a good backdrop to the photo.

A professional-quality photo at that distance would have a narrow enough depth of field that the background would be very out of focus, and therefore irrelevant.

Shouldn't we make a conscious effort to stop calling it a hub cap as this merely perpetuates the image of it being a meaningless trophy? I think Wigan have done a lot to raise it's status but unless we call it by its true name it will never be given the status it truly deserves. The £50k prizemoney is a step in the right direction.

If other clubs in the past had done a proper presentation then the profile of the League Leaders Trophy would have risen and Sky would have had to take it seriously and given it more air time.

It was done really well and wasn't anywhere near as cheesy as I thought it would be. I was very proud of the lads last night, we've come so far since 2006 and this was only the second trophy I've ever seen us lift as I only started attending games properly 11 years or so ago.
