| Perhaps one reason why Quins are in and in for the long haul is that something like 20-25% of sky's tv audience is based in the capital.
Anyone can understand that Quins situation looks awful but Huddersfield were bottom of the league four years on the run before they were relegated.
It's not good but we have to stick with it for the long term good of Rugby League.

I take it you've forgotten about cudjoe, raleigh, lawrence, patrick, and to an extent lunt, not to mention the wigan rejects hodgson, wild, robinson, brown, aspinwall. . . As for off the field we didnt win club of the year for nothing and have we not doubled our average crowds in the last 4 years? Or do you still think its 2003

I'd give you Cudjoe for this season but none of the others are what i'd call the 'core' of your team.
Your crowds are still pathetic however. We don't even open the away stand for you here and that speaks volumes.

what a numpty think lunt and patrick count as home grown asthey've been through our academy. Raleigh came through our academy too and was sold on before we brought him back, lawrence had played every game this season until injury and crabtree has been a very good impact player who came to the fore to non supporting giants fans after being picked for england. We've known how good he's been for quite a few years but because its us we don't get the praise we deserve. As normal the so called small clubs who haven't taken sl by storm yet get negative comments. We're getting good crowds which are still on the up and a great team which is entertaining and on the brink of winning trophy's.
Not so long ago we were in the bottom division with meagre crowds and playing in the top division was just a pipe dream.
Now look at us, plenty would swap places. Just one more thing, thanks for you cast offs and has beens ala robinson, aspy, wild and hodgson!!!

| The last time the other clubs tried to cannibalise London SKY Came back with a rather derisory contract offer, coupled with Richard Lewis' threat to resign this prompted many clubs to quickly change their minds on the issue.
The lesson from Crusaders move has surely got to be that expansion teams are more likely to be successful in areas where they have little competition. Even Pro-Union teams struggle to survive in London, ask London Wasps, London Irish and Saracens who all play outside of London. Taking the London team out of London should be the last throw of the dice.

Quote: Odemwingie "I agree that would be a great idea! Problem would be the size and getting them to share
It would be a massive drain one the clubs and the league, lets say somebody would have to take the whole project through some finance. Liverpool's 60k stadium was going to cost them £80m, or £1333 per seat. Lets assume a smaller stadium is going to cost £1100 per seat, so that's a £44m loan and being generous at 4%. The interest alone on this size of loan would be almost £34k per week. Should the two clubs play 30 home games in total that's going to work out at about £59k per game in interest to find without thinking about repaying the capital. A couple of internationals and CC games isn't going to help a great deal.
and do England RU really have a great source of income?

£83/seat in premium seats! How many people will be prepared to pay for that?

Spot on. If I were a Hudds fan I'd be keeping a low profile when threads appeared questioning what certain clubs add to the SL party. I would concentrate on trying to persuade a few friends (if I had any) to follow the club, because they are desperately needed by Hudds, particularly the kind of fans who can be bothered to travel 40 miles to watch an away game.

Im guessing you dont take much interest in the game as a whole then? Lawrence has been a regular for 3 seasons now, raleigh came through our academy before moving onto sheffield then hull kr,patrick was released as a junior player by bradford,he has been part of our academy for the last 2 years, lunt qualifies as a homegrown player even tho he was originally signed from another club, not to mention jackson who we released last year came through our academy who has been a mainstay of our team for 5 years.
As for crowds, whats pathetic about an average of 9,486? I remember when wigan were struggling to get those crowds despite the success of the previous 20 years

Again i ask, why is averaging 9,486 pathetic?? Would you not say that considering that for the last 40 years we had struggled to attract even 1000 supporters to games, considering the lack of success we've had in the last 50 years, coupled with the fact that 2 of the most succesful clubs of the last 20 years are on our doorstep thus attracting the floating supporter, considering that even 4 or 5 years ago we were struggling to get even 4 or 5 thousand do you not think that by doubling our average that it should be applauded? Or are you just going by how many supporters we bring to wigan on a friday night? Remember the licence criteria is based on home support not travelling support

| I think it's pretty obvious he had no idea that was your average.
After reading the Quins board of late I've seen a number of supporters talking about a possible relocation. It's worked for top union sides; Wasps, Saracens London Irish so could it be the answer for London RL.

So numpty is quite apt then
I agree with relocation,as i posted on the quins board, surely the club is fighting a losing battle tryin to attract large crowds to watch rugby league in the shadow of union HQ? how many ppl in london or indeed outside the rugby league family will think watching the rugby at harlequins means watching super league?

| Quite frankly they need a local derby, like Catalans.
Of course they are going to bloody struggle if they are so isolated and have nobody to be their rivals. Rivalry is needed in sport.
