| 1. Carmont
2. Richards
3. Phelps
Carmont - seems to be building a real understanding with Sam Tomkins, there was some fantastic interplay between the two. After a shaky start to the season he has rediscovered his dream team form in recent matches and this has played a big part in our resurgence as a team.
Richards - this season he's looked far more dangerous in attack, creating tries, particularly in the second halves of matches. When the opposition are tiring big Pat's pace and power are a real threat. To think that someone (can't remember who) said on a thread a year or two ago that Pat was one of the best backs in the competition and was howled down by Saints fans. At the time it did seem a bold statement. Not now. Pat is one of the form players in SL. I think at the time the argument was whether you'd swap Pat for the Slug. I think the answer to that question is now clear - the mollusc would be staying at KR.
Phelps - how wrong was I about this guy? I had him pegged as a journeyman squad player at best at the start of the season and called for him to be exited from club. In fact he's developed this season into a really classy FB. On his current form I don't think I'd swap him for any FB in the comp.
Overall I thought our forwards played really well as a unit. No one was really outstanding as an individual (if I had to pick anyone out, it would probably be Coley) but they totally dominated Leeds in that second half.
I have said (a bit more accurately than my "Phelps out" call ) that the SL is a mediocre league. Last night's match, thrilling though it was, I think backs that up. We probably only have 3 or 4 players who could have got in the 17 if they were competing against the squad we had for the first few years of SL and yet we beat Leeds last night with some key players missing, including Lockers, who for me has been the outstanding player for us this season.

Phelps
Carmont.
Was really impressed by Mossop as well, him and HH really put some punishing hits in on the Leeds players.
Was made up that Joel scored, it cant be easy, when his little brother is getting all the plaudits, IMO though he make's too many unforced errors but saying that his support play seems to get him out of jail. Wished he'd let that right go at JJB would have loved to see that nut cracked.

He's in my top three just for that with Phelps and Sam.
Also Amos' hit on baldy forcing the knock on in the same set was good but Preccy's tackle was worth the entrance money alone... Leuluai is a big lad and he stopped him dead.

Not really a game you can pick just 3 they all played very well..
Roberts puts the fear of god in me everytime he fires out the defensive line. but i have never seen a winger who times it better .

| I suppose this sums up why we have offered Coley and Phelps a new contract. Every week on people's top three Phelps and Coley are usually always mentioned.
1. Cameron Phelps. Outstanding performance. Absolutely top draw - his work with Kris Radlinski is paying off.
2. Sam Tomkins. Was a handful for Leeds all night. Stood well in defence as well. Brilliant back pass for George Carmont to setup up that try also finished off the winning try under the posts.
3. Joel Tomkins. Kept running hard and strong all night. Had a pop at JJB and then scored a try straight after! That's the way to respond.
TBH it was unfair to pick a top three they were very good tonight. (Apart from maybe Fielden )

| 1. PHELPSY- He ran his blood to water for us last night, he could be the best bit of business we have done for some time!
2. SAM TOMKINS- he shown why he will be england 6/7 for years to come, that ball he through inside for leuluai for hansens try was great and his try was fantastic.
3. FLANAGAN- he really stood up for me last night, he has definately improved since his loan at halifax.

Oh dear! It's O'Loughlin and it's obviously escaped your notice that we were playing better with him in the side and actually dipped in form for a couple of games prior to last night. Never mind...poor trolling attempt.

| I keep trying to pick my 3 and i keep changing my mind! The most impressive thing last night was how the whole 17 played, they were full of fight and good attitude even 10 points down and the homegrown kids impress me more everytime i see them play together, by good luck or good judgement Nobbys got a hell of a team at the moment, Bring on Friday!

| 1. Joel - awesome last night - especially in defence. He tackled everything that moved! Defo MOM for me!
2. Phelps - was an extra half back for us and caused many problems.
Cant pick a 3rd - the rest of the team. If you had to force me to pick, Coley! Best game in a Wigan shirt for me last night.

| From a neutral's (ha!) POV I thought Richards and Phelps were outstanding for you. They seemed to be everywhere and just at the right time. I hope they've peaked!!
Sam Tompkins did some great work too, I have to add. I'm very much hoping that Kyle Eastmond is both playing and on form next week because I'd love to see Tomkins and Eastmond go head to head. They could create mayhem.

| 1. Sam (Showed again we could have another Shaun Edwards on our hands )
2. Phelps (Showed again why he should be playing S/O or Hooker)
3. Richards/ Leuleui / Carmont (take your pic)
