12150.jpg It's just WIGAN, nothing else. Get rid of that stupid nickname.:12150.jpg |

| A polo shirt is no incentive at all. A discount voucher for the Wigan RL shop would have been better.
And why is Leeds classed as the Big One? It's not and never will be. Artificial marketing hype is always transparent.
Marketing should be aimed mainly at the less attractive games anyway, when the only plan at the moment seems to be to give away tickets. The Celtic match this Sunday will see a very poor turnout of paying customers.
I am not as delighted as some on here with the marketing effort at Wigan. They have still not tackled the basic need to inform the general public about when games are being played, in these days of wildly fluctuating kick-off times and matchdays.
And I resent being addressed as 'Dear Warriors Fan'.
On the positive side, the main achievement, which is important, has been keeping ticket prices low.]

| It's a marketing campaign, pure and simple. It doesn't matter if both teams aren't performing, that probably isn't factored into it, due to how long these things take to organise.
What is factored in, is the attendance figure that will appear in news reports. It looks good for the club and good for the game.
Great idea.

| When the club say want to set a new Super League crowd record, they are looking to smash the record crowd for Leeds at the JJB.
Im sure they would love a sell out but I think they are hoping for probably around 18 or 19k.

| we got 7 at our house
im a bit sceptical as if we are still playing then , like we are now, its going to be difficult to get anyone but diehard fans coming.
and if leeds are still losing i cant see many of them coming over either, especially if its on sky.
they arnt trying for a stadium record btw, i believe they are trying to break the record for warriors v rhinos games................at the jjb, dw, or whatever it'll be called then
and if i put them stickers in my car folk will think we are going to blackpool pleasure beach.
i think they could have come up with a better name tbh.

How dare the club show any imagination or initiative!
The Saints game was always going to get a much bigger crowd than the Leeds game so in trying to push the game in the summer they'll get two close to sell out crowds rather than one possible sell out and a big crowd.

| I hope the friends people are thinking of taking will still be friends after the event as it seems a quick and sure way of people thinking you must be mad to watch this lot and to bring me along as well, get real.

Not really. My Geordie mate has been to Wigan a fair few times, over the course of two seasons, and I think he's only seen us win two or three times.
He's also been to Leeds twice with me as well and we've lost both there. He still keeps coming back because he likes the whole buzz of it!

Your absolutely spot on once again! Do Saints Fans never get anything Wrong?
PS
Could you give us a few ideas on how you go about Marketing the club and getting such vast numbers through the turnstiles!

| Look
I think we all knew Noble planned entire seasons prep around wigan peaking for games against leeds but i didn't realise your marketing had cottoned onto it as well.

Warrington led 16-2 in Saturday's Grand Final, but their joy was short-lived as Wigan roared back to win the Super League title and extend the Wire's 58-year wait to be champions:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_10174.png |
