| Quote: NickyKiss "Yeah I got that. I can't understand how anybody could think the Wigan forwards were dominated. We have some issues with our timing in attack and last play options but the forwards were superb.'" Its probably the same people who thought Brisbane dominated us.

| Quick glance of the stats and Clubb was great in defence. Something like 33 tackles and one miss.
His carries was poor. Only 7 carries and avg gain if 4.7m which isn't great Imo. His ball carrying is on par with lazy Mose.

He doesn't like work does he, particularly in his own 20.
btw I thought LMS was superb for Saints yesterday, far and away your best player.

| Like someone said, Farrell put in a mammoth effort yesterday. Seemed to take so many hit ups and was a rock in D. Special note to Dan Sarginson whose work goes unnoticed sometimes, he continually took the hard runs e.g. in his own 20 and made good yards with his footwork and strength. I know centres are often judged on their attacking flair (he was the only guy to make a clean break in 2nd half) but his work for the team was vital yesterday. Top effort

I thought Mose first spell he did well. He tipped the momentum saints way and I think he put few of the Wigan pack off their game as they was hunting him.
He doesn't like the tough work and that's my big frustration with him. We will have Walmsley and Amor taking it in twice in a set and getting smashed in our own 20m zone while he walks back. To many times are other players doing his work.
However, when he's on his game and up for it, he's a very good prop.

I'd agree with that, he reminds me a bit of Feka, those big barnstorming runs make him a fans' favourite but he struggles to maintain it over the course of a game, and can be lazy in defence.

That was my point in my post saying he needs to do longer minutes. He did Masoe/Feka style minutes yesterday when he's capable of staying on for longer IMO. I bet he was only on the field for a total of half an hour yesterday in his 2 stints. Larne Patrick on the other hand must have played best part of an hour and was much less effective.

He turned the game like you say. I thought that was one of his best performances against us tbh.
The one thing he does always seem to do though is give away a silly penalty or two.

| I must have been watching a different (Honest) Tony Clubb.
Sure, he tackled well enough. But if he made any yards he must have squeezed them in between eyeblinks.

Sounds like you were watching a different game. Could be worse Mose Masoe could play for us.

He won which is the main thing and looking at your pathetic posts on your board it's hurt you bad.

It was all Paul Deacon's fault!

And they'll 'end us' when the injuries clear up!
No mention of our four missing yesterday plus Flower suspended or our seven missing on Monday plus Flower.
Only Saints get injuries so I believe.

I think you were watching your big tough forwards knocking us all round the ground.
Agree that Clubb doesn't make enough yards but he did make up for that with a lot of tackles

I really rated Patrick at Huddersfield and would have been delighted if we'd signed him, but he's been anonymous since joining Wigan. About time he put a performance in really.
