hi, I travel a lot so pretty clued up were to get a good deal.they change all the time but now you can get a Manchester to Sydney return mon 18th feb -mon 25th feb for £800 all in.i am in Thailand until april so its Bangkok to Sydney for me a tad shorter flight thank goodness,hope to see lots of you in Sydney,the food in the rocks café just above Sydney harbour is to die for.

Ive noticed its £120 cheaper to fly from london than manchester, cheap advance train ticket might make it worthwhile

Does anyone know when the NRL season starts with relation to the WCC? I've been saving and wanting to go to Aus for a while to watch some NRL matches etc so if the season starts reasonably close enough to the WCC then it would be more worthwhile stretching for.

There are some good deals with Virgin Australia & Ethiad (code share) at the moment. I managed to get flights for just over £700 return from Auckland - London for later on in the year. I'm not sure if they'll have anything coming the other way or for that time of the year but it might be worth a look anyway.
