I noticed that for some reason many catholic junior schools played rugby over the years but non-catholics played soccer.
These players must feed the Catholic high schools so maybe thats why they produce more professionals.
I expect the non catholics produce the professional footballers.

Well, Abraham Guest - a non-Catholic school, produced Lee Croft and Peter Atherton who are two of Wigan's only professional footballers.

Incedently, Crofty played for our school Rugby team and was very, very quick.

I know Up Holland (non-catholic) produced Leon Osman at Everton.
