Why will you not criticise the RFL for scheduling this round on the last day of the football season. There are 9 weeks before the semis, plenty of time for fitting the matches in.'"
What if Wigan drew Saints at home in the last round? Maybe the RFL should stage the entire cup over 3 weeks in August next time eh?
This is Wigan's problem, not the RFL's.

| I agreed the schedule is in need to be looked at (ie early rounds close together, then Semis/Final months away), but why do we need to concern ourselves with when the Football season is?

| I think we just need an answer ASAP. If we have to move it then so be it. Let's get it announced, let all the over reactions and pis* taking happen and die down and concentre then on the main thing....the game.
Our group of players and staff are mentally tough and moving it to Leigh or wherever will if anything fire them up. It will certainly be no excuse for a defeat so let's get it out in the open and get on with it.
One thing is for sure and that's if it's at Leigh it'll be a dam site better atmosphere with a full house there then 12000 at the DW would have created! That can be an advantage as well so use it.
The LSV is in Wigan anyway so we may as well just claim it as a second home. The Leythers won't mind!!

| I fail to see how this is down to the RFL, the Beeb or anyone else. This set of fixtures is not a problem for 7 of the teams in the last 8. the only team it is a problem for is Wigan. Wiganers may feel that the world should revolve around there little lease problem, but in the end that's for Wigan to sort out.
The RFL have a full fixture list to sort out, for multiple leagues , multiple cup games and international preperation and end of season. The Beeb have a contract that allows them to pick the match they want of that round at a time of their choosing.
Saints are ready to play when ever where ever.
Sky have the rights to show the PL, SL and what ever choice of CC games are left.
This is not the first time this has happened, maybe RL should only play in weeks when Latics are never at home just incase.
The only issue is a lack of a decision by Wigan where to play their fixture. If their contract says they can play at DW then they should just enforce it and play and let Latics worry about the pitch. If the contract says Wigan can only play whenever they want so long as Latics matches allow then it's tough, wigan signed the contract and will have to live with it for the next 25 years. Or however long is left.

| Sky dictates when Superleague games are played ie. Friday , Saturday , Sunday or Monday nighst because the have bought the right to do so . The same as BBC have the rights to the CC.

| Didn,t we play Wakefield Easter Monday the DAY BEFORE Latics played Man Utd. THIS YEAR. Talk of a 24 hr premier league rule is all a smokescreen. The only way this game won't be at the DW is if it's scheduled for Sunday.

| If there were no problem playing the game 24 hrs before the Latics we would know by now.
The fact that the club has not said where the game is to be played shows that there is a problem over the fixture and they must still be talking to DW about it.

| If one of our games is to be moved for the second time why should we support any thing to do with the DW stadium ever again? Why should we drink his shocking ale? Why should we buy his stale and bland food? He wants us when it suits him and his precious football team.
and I will be extremely disappointed if again, the so called astute business man Ian Lenegan is made to look a laughing stock. How will he explain this move? How is he going to compensate us, the fans?
Common sense should have prevailed yesterday and we should have been the Friday 8 O'Clock game regardless of 1st choice, 2nd choice etc...

Whilst Friday night would have been the ideal scenario, why should the value of the challenge cup rights be damaged just because DW is being an a*se? You can't sell rights then take them away and give them to a rival broadcaster (which playing the game on Friday night effectively constitutes).
If the BBC want Wigan to play on Sat/Sun, then they should do so wherever they have to.
