Where did this uncertainty stem from in the first place? Was it Edwards with comments to the press?

This is the equivalent of making yourself available on LinkedIn and uploading your CV onto job boards. The only certainties Edwards is providing is that he is 100% available and not committed to anything yet, which after the announcement from Wigan - signed or verbal, there was clearly an agreement in place - is really bad form (to put it mildly) from Shaun.

I would 100% walk away from this "deal" and sign someone else. Absolute Derrick.

We shouldn’t give him time to think. Do it for him and move on to look for someone else. He’s disrespecting Wigan but more so Rugby League - the recent statements seem to back up the source that we’ve been played.

Well I'm going to be different here I hope he is the next Wigan coach I personally think he will do well but that's just my blinkered opinion of someone I watched growing up! Take the RU hating specs off, he would make a great coach for Wigan, and hasn't ruled it out. we all try and get paid as much as we can, loyalty doesn't exist in the modern world.

Maybe Edwards is realising that our recruitment is really poor and perhaps he's wondering if it would be any different if he was coach seeing as Rads and Lenagen seem to have the final say on recruitment? Just a thought ............

People are only seeing that he's in RU, and are jealous that the RFU have done more for their game than the RFL.

RFU, like it or not, is the prevelant Rugby code in the UK, and I am not an RFU fan, but I can see it on it's merits. I hope Lam and his squad can turn it around, and believe they will.

Clearly backing out of any agreement, verbal or written. If he doesn't want to come, wh shouldn't want him to, and quickly be looking elsewhere. We need to find half a team for next year, with retirements, players leaving and players not good enough, we need a coach who knows what he wants and players who know who they will be playing for. The longer we leave it the more time wasted and potential signings we miss out on.

He probably is. But it comes across as patronising and not what someone who has agreed to a role at a rugby league club should be saying.

If Edwards wants to stay in Kick and Clap it'll be because of the money and the over-promotion ... and probably because, thanks to his own dishonest behaviour, he's no longer wanted in RL.

It won't have anything to do with Union being a superior product, so don't even contemplate selling that cr*p on here.
