| And I thought RL fans (in general not just this site) were supposed to be good natured, family game and all that. The amount of vitriol about an injured player is pretty shocking.

It's not like Wigan fans haven't done the exact same thing to be fair.

| Very dangerous shot. Although Joel Tomkins has hit people with the elbow when players have been on the floor after scoring tries. It's not nice to see but all teams do it.

I presume you're alluding to maguire? I'd agree with that (as there were certainly some unsavory comments) but that was largely about the fact he'd cheated rather than cheering him being injured.

I agree. In which case, do you regard someone throwing a punch from behind a player with little chance of making contact with the ball and a strong possibility of hitting the man as "accidental"? I think that's stretching the definition somewhat! If I drove my car up onto the pavement intentionally, but didn't really want to hurt anyone, would that exonerate me of any wrong doing should I then run someone over or would you take the view that, if I didn't intend hurting anyone, I shouldn't have driven on the pavement in the first place and so am liable for any consequences?

| Call me naive, but I don't think there have been too many cases in history where someone has 'accidentally' punched someone else in the face.
For all the histrionics among Raynor's supporters, in any normal walk of life he would pick up an immediate and rightful punishment, but this is the RFL of course, so we'll have to wait and see.

If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.:icons39ad_files/4821-1859san_c-msnicons.jpg |

You are a very very sad individual........... If McGuire was laughed at it was because he got injured trying to cheat, Sam was a victim of an assault, two totally different events. If Raynor had broken his arm in the act, i would have laughed at the irony of his situation too
