| Quote: [Gareth] ""He's no Galloway, Achurch or Falloon'"
Galloway is playing very well.
Achurch and Falloon, nuff said.
'Frank-Paul the wrecking ball' is the second coming of Pettybourne.

| Quote: cadoo "I like how quick we are getting our business done this year. We know who is leaving (Sarginson/Charnley) and we are wrapping up deals quick (Burgess/FPN) with possibly Tommy to come.
I would not grumble if that was our business done. If Crosby goes to the NRL I can't say I would be too fussed. I wouldn't want to lose John Bateman.
Staying as it is
Eastmond rumours doing the rounds but I think Smith will still be here tbh.
That side in paper looks as strong as we've ever put out in Lenagans time and in a reasonably weak comp you'd like to think it can have a really strong period.
The centres are exciting for me. They're both exciting players with huge potential to improve.

I'm sure I've read somewhere that we tend to leave some space aside to enable us to be in the running should someone we want become available mid-season (as has clearly happened here)

| We were apparently in for Ferres in pre-season so there was clearly a bit of wiggle room on the SC. We've made quite a few mid-season signings over the past few years (Cross, Smith, Thornley, Hock, Joel, Powell) so what Grimmy says makes sense.

| I watched the increasingly impressive Gold Coast Titans last night. One of the first thoughts that went through my head was, i don't remember Pettybourne playing like that for us.
And yeah, frankly, i fear krisleeds may be right. I'd have been happier if we'd gone for someone like Fifita. Or, indeed, Pritchard. Now if Sam Kasiano ever became available...
But we shall see. I hope I'm wrong.

| I've always admired FPN's short passing game, often taking the ball right to the line before delivering a soft hands pass to another forward. Such a great skill as being a prop the defensive line often think they will just smash into the line. Such skills will allow him to make the line question his action each time he carries the ball.
Lets hope he's allowed to play his game at Wigan, and not just be another Eddie Pettybourne.

10172_1376829585.jpg Dan Sarginson: "This is a fantastic opportunity for me to join the biggest name in the competition" 18/10/2013
Tony Clubb: "This is a new exciting chapter of my life signing for Wigan and I couldn't be happier" 18/10/2013
Romain Navarrete: “I’m very happy to have signed for Wigan Warriors. As soon I knew that Wigan were interested, they were the only team that I wanted to sign for. To me, Wigan is the biggest Club in Rugby League and it will be an honour to pull on the famous Cherry-and-White jersey next year. I look forward to working with Shaun Wane and the players at Wigan.”:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_10172.jpg |

| Well he's going to have to learn how to catch a ball that's passed behind him, possibly near his ankles, and also from a standing start. Then he'll have to learn 'the move' and forget how to step. I see from a couple of vids he's already got the Lockers Clothes Line tackle sorted.

| Not seen enough of him but his pedigree and international caps point to him being a good signing.
Is he an impact prop?what sort of minutes does he do?because we have clubb who I think is a great impact prop.
Also what's his defence like?

Didn't you request dispensation this year to go over the salary cap to turn a team out at Wakefield? Doesn't sound like there was wriggle room

20333_1393344959.gif Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid.
Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal.
Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_20333.gif |

| I thought Eddy Pettybourne was a cracking player, it's just injury and his short stay which would make people think any less of him. He used to fly out ready to smash their attacker every time better than anyone I've ever seen, I used to love watching that.

| Wow. What a great signing, so long as he's fit/motivated.
If we can get Nu'uausala, Bateman and McIlorum back for the playoffs, I think it's safe to say our pack won't be getting bullied
