Thought Thornley took his tries well and put a couple of good hits in. All in all, a pretty good debut and I expect we'll see more of him as the season goes on.

After reading Richards is out for another 6 weeks I definitely feel it's Thornley's chance to play on his wing once Charnley comes back, he looked far the better winger than Gelling on Sunday.

On Sunday it looked like Gelling had just returned from 18 months in Union and Thornley was the RL lad who'd come through the system without interuption.
Gelling will make an good player given time and even more quality coaching.
Thornley looked the real deal, now and ready.
Interesting to see who's picked for the London, Cas and Hull games and the real test will be who gets the shirt for Wire away.

Lets not get too carried away, he looked excellent, but lets give him time and see how it goes.

Thornley had a very good 1st game for us,you wouldnt have guessed he had been away from our game for nearly two years and will get better and should get a game but might get put into centre net year should George go home.

Lets not forget that we where playing Wakefield, hardly tough competition for him to face in his first 1st team game back
