It always is. O'loughlin was never square all night either, with Wigan generally having their hand on the ball to slow Saints down.
As for no glaring howlers, Tomkins knock-on, which resulted in ansother six tackles, was a shocker. |

Thaler missed a blatant knock-on from Phelps early from a kick return, plus it was a forward pass to Ainscough for his second try.

I agree - you lift your elbow you're showing you couldn't have made the line without doing it. You don't lift your elbow you probably slide over anyway. |

Thaler and Bentham are pretty neck and neck for me. Both control the game superbly, without getting flustered or making impulsive desicions, and the games are far better as a result. Refereeing performnaces now are far superior to any of the past. Thumbs up for full time refs?

Thought we got quite a lot from the ref, did anyone else think Phelps was tackled in the air for the last try? The Hock no try was correct.
