Maybe. Give Brad a rest & start Powell in what could be his last regular game?

Could very well happen, but it’s whether has trust in that to get us the win, it should do, but he’ll be thinking about winning the shield and getting the home semi final.

Look at the difference here.
Warrington have just tweeted out the departure of six players all in one go.
https://twitter.com/WarringtonRLFC/stat ... O4Llg&s=19
Wigan on the other hand are slowly announcing on a player by player basis, whether they are staying or whether they are leaving. Mike Cooper's came with an 8 minute video on his rehabilitation. Each announcement comes with statements from the coach, the CEO and the player themselves. This goes to show the club treat the players as humans and not just numbers. Yet again shows the difference in culture between the two clubs that was touched upon the other night.
Just my opinion.

| With 3 more extensions and 1 departure confirmed we are getting close to our squad being finalised for next season.
Remaining outgoings:
The remaining players OOC to my knowledge are:
Cust
Thornley
Hampshire
I’d imagine Thornley and Cust will go 100% and Hampshire likely too, although he could maybe stay on as back up on a low wage again? Powell it seems is the odd man out at hooker but he is still in contract but it would seem likely he will leave too .
Potential remaining incomings:
To my knowledge we have filled our non fed spots (although with Isa being here for 12 years now he could maybe get dispensation like Tommy?) so any links with overseas players seem off the table, is there any rumours doing the rounds with home grown players? the Owen Farrell links have done the rounds again recently and I have heard Sam Esahs name mentioned in the past, anybody else? There have been rumours we would bring 2/3 more players in but maybe we have taken the view that the players available were no improvement on Isa and Mago so plans changed?

| To be honest I’m content with out squad for 2024. I think it looks (on paper) a very good, balanced side with power across the park and what’s more, the bench.

Yeah, I do think we are going to be slightly better next season although since his return I am a lot more gutted KPP is leaving and think he will be a big loss. I did expect at least one signing from the NRL but Mago has been like a new signing the last couple of months so if he keeps this form up we are well set.

Agreed re KPP, he will be a huge loss. He’s turned into a key player and a monster of one at that. With him and the mooted departures of Cust/Thornley/Powell/Rocky it may well be that we have some money to spend if we need to. I don’t particularly think we’re crying out to fill a position at the moment. The halves maybe but French has done an excellent job in the halves despite my earlier misgivings.

| Save the money incase we get hampered by injuries, Dupree turning out to be a bigger signing than expected, imagine if we was relying on Brad Singleton?
