| Hull really aren't that good in my opinion, if you keep at them and don't fall away they face after 60 minutes, that showed and we did great to get a comeback from that, the attack isn't great and playing like that we'll win zilch, but Hull won't win anything if anyone puts pressure on them like we did, the LLS and GF are there for Wire to sweep quite easy this year

| I'm struggling to know what to type anymore. The season has been like groundhog day! We're so brave, we soak up mountains of pressure and then seem to play like a proper Wigan team for the last 15 minutes. They need to find the key to unlocking that momentum from minute one. I can't knock their attitude one bit tonight. Stevo bagged some of the player for shrirking their defensive responsibilities early on and I thought that was a disgraceful comment! The players weren't hitting their straps but their scramble was immense and the whole basis of the win was guts.
Looking at it from a technical point of view we need to get far more depth on our plays. The players look on top of each others heads and half of the time we're killing our own plays by getting in each others way.
We need to work on that and kick on. We refuse to go away in all games so if we can find 5% in attack we'll give ourselves a chance.

That game sums up our season, tons of effort, good defence, terrible with the ball. Individual efforts in attack saving us.

It certainly did and it's the reason why i want to throw everything behind the players. They're giving it everything and looking for the answers. We need those answers to arrive in the next month but who knows, stranger things have happened.

I know I'm skeptical, quite negative at times, probably even scathing, but it's only because I know this team, even with the injuries, have massively under performed all season with our attacking play. I've no wish to see Wane sacked, all I want is our team to perform to their potential, if that entails replacing Wane then so be it, if it means bringing some new back room staff then so be it. The fact is though, to get us reaching our potential, we need change, and I just hope to God IL knows this and has a plan, either with or without Wane. My main concern is that he does nothing at all.

Couldn't agree more. Great credit on stealing the win but the club has to offer more than that IMO.

I fully agree. My call would be to bring in a strong assistant with a real attacking pedigree but maybe Wane doesn't want that. If he doesn't then maybe the he's reached the end because we certainly need a change and he should recognize that himself.
I can't help but wonder what is happening behind the scenes. Are the players happy after the 'events' of mid season? Are players carrying injuries? I've read rumors that Williams is carrying an injury and Wane has mentioned this week that Sam is hardly training.
The one thing I do know is that if we could pull off a grand final win this year I think it'd be the sweetest feeling in my nigh on 30 years watching us because of the circumstances.

| Heart by the bucketload but they're so infuriating to watch, same mistakes/penalties week after week, put themselves under totally unnecessary pressure then decide to play for the last 15mins.
It's just, just.....

We had plenty of pressure in the cup run and managed to win, lack of knowledge about Hull, as we have won loads of games this year in the last 20, usually we are very strong in the last 20.
We do lack something in attaxk, but played some good stuff first half and not taking those chances and dropping the ball 3 times in the 10 mins was the reason we lost.
Wigan deserved the win, thought Williams, Gelling and Tauti were excellent. Maybe the worst game I have seen Sam T play, needs a big off season.

I'd disagree about Sam. He's a marked man these days as such struggles to do the eye catching stuff. I thought he was much better than in recent weeks. The attention he attracts creates space for others, as a team we need to be better at exploiting that. I believe he's playing injured and not training much. I would be surprised to see him become unavailable for England.
I thought both teams did ok tonight without being spectacular. Could have gone either way.

You should have won it in the first half when you were all over us. Then you had that failed lunge early in the second half and the momentum swung. Agree that Gelling (really had his right head on tonight) and Tautai were excellent. Williams once again showed what he can do, but he's a ball-runner, not a game-runner. If he could add that to his skills... Tomkins wasn't bad; he was solid in defence and under the high ball, if offering not so much in attack.
