Sorry to hear of this Jeff, its a killer but part of life these days, they should bring back the birch for these type of scum.

i) Insurance, check the small print to see if there is anything about a replacement bike from them when things go wrong, ( if not - try Carole Nash next time but tell them that you are looking at hireing one to get by and will look to them for the costs if it takes too long ) if there is, get them onto it, they will soon sort things out as it is now costing them money.
ii) I work in Rossendale, so am pretty much all over the north west every day, I will keep a look out but don't expect to see it again.
iii) regarding security, if you are looking for idea's then drop me an email and I will get back to you, I am a biker too and have a few tips.

In all fairness mate they shouldnt have a choice to pay out if you had an anchor (unless you were supposed to have had disk locks too just check the small print.)

Insurance companies are idiots I saw one on tv last week about a woman who had a heart attack but the health insurance wouldnt pay out but then told her that she had to now pay higher premiums because she had had a heart attack! Ha

I have had issues myself too when I changed my car in August. I asked them to change it "From Friday" so I didnt give them a date but they changed it from the same date on the next month leaving me without insurance for a month. Hopefully youll get it sorted but tbh I'd look at getting another bike instead.

Bit of an Update from this. The father was going the tip in Leigh, when he saw what appeared to be my scooter. He followed it and it was infact the same scooter. A Chase ensued but he got away. Anybody in the Slag Lane area of Leigh/Lowton please keep an eye out for me, cheers!

i know what your going through. I have had motorbikes stolen in the past and its gutting when you get up to see your pride and joy gone. I now have mine in a garage, alarmed , chained to the floor with a disc lock on. the car is also parked in front of garage. If the thieving bstards get mine away they deserve it. Hope you get it back fella.
