Been sat here trying to figure out who i'd like to win. Can't think of an answer. Think its because im not bothered! Ha.

Wouldn't begrudge either of them though, Leeds have put in a mammoth effort to get to both finals despite the regular season that they had, not had a week off either.

But Saints have had more personnel troubles than the rest of the league and you can't help but admire the way their young side has performed this year. Plus even if they won they'll be nothing without Graham!

It's got to be Leeds then we can claim they are not legitimate champions as they didn't play-off against us.



Saints played off against us and won whereas if Leeds win it they will have done so without playing off against the side finishing second. You can't claim to be champions having avoided a team with a far better league record than you in the play offs.

Now had we a top five system in place rather than the idiotic one we have now, they would have had to beat us to get there assuming we lost to Saints in our first game (as we did). Then I'd probably support Saints had they done so.

Under a top five system they would have had to beat both us and Wire at some point. The competition is supposed to be a play off not a knock out and if you don't play-off against a side then you can't really claim it's representative. Saints didn't beat Wire either which just shows what a rubbish format the current system is compared to the top five system.

A few years ago with Longy, Cunningham, Price etc it would have been anyone but Saints. But this current lot have a certain admirable quality about them, with one or two exceptions.

Although I'm not a McDermott fan, it would be good to have a British coach pick up the prize, although I still intensely dislike some of the Leeds players.

So, toss coin, Saints. What is the point of rivalry if your rivals always lose in finals?

My dislike of Leeds doesn't particularly override the Saints rivalry. Therefore I'm mostly neutral and without much of a care.

I said Leeds after Friday night but the more the weekend has progressed the less bothered I am. I just want a good spectacle now.
