| It'd be useful to ask Wilkin what on earth he was thinking at the time. But I gather he's out today, helping his mam choose some new nets for the lounge. The mardy boy.

| Quote: Jukesays "Why though?
There vere numerous penalties over the weekend with "Chicken Wing" calls made by the referee and penalties given, how come none of them are up before the Beak?'"
because if the player is carded and/or penalised they're more likely to deem that no further action is neccessary as he would have already been punished. He might get a match now where if the ref had dealt with it at the time he would be alright to play v Bradford.

| Even the great hemmings states the game was clean in commentary.
Just watched Lima tackle and I think a warning is probably justified but a ban would be harsh
I also see the tackles over the horizontal where not picked up which I found far more dangerous during the match

| He'll get the full 6 as quite simply, as Saturdays ref performance showed, the RFL can't bear to see a successfull Wigan side.

| Does no one see the irony that the whole Wigan board is having a baby fit ... for your perspective that Wilkin was being a baby?

No irony needed from anyone to know that, as usual, you're talking complete and utter crapola.

Good point. Perhaps you'd like to now list 'the whole Wigan board' and cross-reference each name with the post wherein they're having one of these fits.
Unless, of course, you're talking shyt (again).

So again I ask the question "Why?".
A chicken Wing that is deemed worthy of a 1 game ban is the same chicken wing if it is picked up and a penalty given on the day?
Or are we saying that an incident where any penalty (Say a Head High Tackle) is given on the day shouldn't be dealt with as severely if it's missed on the day?

Good. If Lima is guilty of a chicken wing tackle then he's a coward. If he can't beat a man by a straightforward hard hit then he shouldn't be playing until he can. Meanwhile, I hope Wilkin's willingness to face up to O'Loughlin's childish reaction opens the door to other players acting on behalf of the safety of their team mates.
Besides, there's nothing new about players reporting other players. Leon Pryce was told off for grabbing balls, if you remember. That was reported by another player. There have been other instances too.

The problem is the one that had anything in it wasnt the one that Wilkins moaning was actually about theres nothing in the one he started whining about but the fact he whined will probably now mean he gets a ban as they will think he has done 2 when in actual fact it was just 1

| Quote: Cronus "Just watched it (13 mins) and didn't think it was particularly bad. He uses the arm to lever the body a little bit and then releases, nothing malicious in it at all. Soliola doesn't even react.
Wilkin is a pathetic little girl. Lima has hold of his arm but there's nothing in it.
In the last two Saints games I've watched Wilkin he's embarrassed himself. Stroppy little mard. Thinks way too much of himself.'"
So is the current callup based on looking at the video, if so how are they calling him in for the wilkin once when nothing happened?

I have watched the recording back since getting home from Cardiff and Lima is definitely working Wilkin's arm while in the tackle. That is obvious to anyone who has eyes. However, whether that is a chicken wing or not, I don't know, and whether the RFL will deem it dangerous or not remains to be seen. Likewise with the tackle on Soliola. They have obviously seen enough to bring a charge.

| If you watch the Lima/Wilkin tackle Wilkin hands Lima off whilsty being tackled by Coley and another player and they were struggling to put him down so Lima does what anybody would do in that situation and grab his arm and pull him to the floor.

The thing with the arm was happening while Wilkin was on the floor.
