I can't name an aussie player who hasn't had the rumour that he's homesick and leaving early, like he could just up and leave his job like that.

Main rumour is that he will play out the year with Wigan and return to Oz at the end of the season.
For whatever reason it be, IF we lose him its a massive loss to us.

And would be to Super League as well. As much as I've questioned him in the past his form this season has been impressive and flair players like Roberts are an asset to our game and a pleasure (he says through gritted teeth) to watch! |

Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good

I too have been told that Roberts is quite happy here.
Let's remember - we hear this 'homesick' thing about so many Aussie players. Barrett only went early because of his well documented domestic crisis.
Pat Richards and Matt King didn't go anywhere, even though were regarded as high risk home-sickness guys by the middle of their first season. |

Roberts will not leave here untill he has seen out his contract and even then he might stay unless he can get better money in the NRL.
If someone wasn't happy here in this Wigan team I personally think it would stand out like a sore thumb!
He certainly has not played like a homesick player and one who would prefer a move home. |
