Ok, no.
But the same guys went doing the same next to the Hull KR fans. The KR fans took it well and joined in with the atmopshere.

Which just emphasizes what a stupid thing it was to do. Most Wigan fans would know there is tension between them and Cas fans as Rogues alerted to.
They went there simply to get a reaction. B0llocks to "banter".

| Quote: GingerWiganer "Now at the Castleford game a few of my mates decided to go into the Castleford end to create a atmosphere Yes everyone thinks we went there just to cause problems and just to fight but you couldnt be far from the truth we went there to mingle with fans like we always do I even took the drum and started to sing a few Castleford songs. But to my shock soon as I sang a few lines of Cas songs a 40ish year old man with the words ''Danny'' on the back of his shirt threatened me and then took a swing for me. Now tell me what did I do wrong there? All I was doing was mingling with the crowd trying to get the atmosphere going just like I did at Cardiff in 07 and 08 when me and the same bunch of lads sat with the Hull KR lads singing songs during there match against FC and there was not one bit of trouble that time. But soon as this Danny acted the way he did I walked away. But when I looked back I saw allot of trouble happening I believe the Castleford fans started throwing punches at my mates and I here one of my mates got a bottle chucked at him. '"
So where in there does it make it ok for you/one of your mates to punch a woman? I know a lot of people who were there and they were all saying you were told repeatedly to stop banging the drum and when you refused, it was you and your group that started all the agro, this will probably be confirmed by the Warrington fan who was sat with Cas fans at the same time.

Whoah, just a minute! I'm not justifying any violent responses here or anything but where do the Cas fans in question get off telling anybody what they can and can't do anyway? They might not have liked the drum but as long as it was allowed it's not up to the Cas fans to "repeatedly tell" anyone to stop banging anything (except perhaps their wife or girlfriend! )

| Going into the Cas end and banging a drum and chanting wigan songs is something kiddies do!! Whether Hull KR fans or Accrington Bluddy stanley fans do it is irrelevant.
I mean, why do that ffs??
Just get pished in the Wigan end, sing, and hug everyone...

Well I couldn't agree more with the setiment, however, the day we get "no go" zones in Rugby League is the day the game deteriates to the morass that is football. Just my opinion, of course.
And for the record I've stood among Cas fans many a time at the Jungle (and when it was Wheldon Rd), sang Wigan songs, chanted for my team etc. etc. with no problems whatsoever. And what's more the same goes for Huddersfield, Saints, Bradford and many other grounds/fans. That (I would hope) is the nature of Rugby League and long may it continue!

the hug part made me laugh, but everyone does it when we score nearly, and why if you wanted to go next to the cas fans you could of had some banter in our stand and not got into this mess in the first place!!

| Ginger Warrior - you've got to remember that for you to start singing an opposition team's songs can be seen as pretty offensive by many fans of that team, who won't take kindly to, what they see as, you taking the out of them.
The best thing you can do is learn from the experience and not do it again - stick to getting behind your team and enjoying the match rather than setting out to try and provoke an atmosphere.

| How many ginger drummers are there?
Are we talking about that lad who was on Granada Reports after he rescued that bus when the driver collapsed at the wheel?
If there's another ginger drummer going around hell raising then I feel sorry for the lad I was originally thinking of. I mean, what are the odds of that? Getting mistook as the wrong ginger drummer and being labelled a hooligan in the process?

| I seen a load of Cas fans giving it the big un in a pub outside the ground. They were taking the mickey out of loads of teams chanting etc. When some other fans start giving it back it all kicks off. Im not defending any of the Wigan fans who were involved because i dont know the full story but 90% of the Cas fans i saw were steaming and acting like hillbillies
