There are many examples of top class sportsmen who have convictions for criminal matters but go on to have success and retain the support of fans. Roberto Firmino, Tiger Woods, Eric Cantona etc.
I’ll never ever condone what ZH has done because it was 100% wrong and showed no consideration for the safety of others but there are not many professions where a man would lose his livelihood over a drink drive conviction. If Wigan get shut, I’d completely understand why but if he’s retained I wouldn’t condemn them for it either.
