Every time he’s played them he’s mullered them. Joe burgess is the most overrated winger in the league and there is a reason why pretty much every union club want to sign grace and not burgess

Wouldn’t say he’s mullered us. A good try yes, but so many times his defensive weaknesses have been exploited. A very quick comparison, Grace has scored 11 tries in 13 this year, Burgess 9 in almost half as many games.

And this year Grace is playing better than usual, in previous years I’m fairly sure he’s been outdone statistically by Marshall - who isn’t in the same league as Burgess, Makinson, Charnley etc. Now try scoring isn’t everything, but for wingers it’s a fair stat to use.

And I don’t say this because he’s a Saints player. Makinson is absolutely world class and I’d be delighted if he ever signed for us, which obviously he won’t. Grace on the other hand is a very very overrated player who people get excited by because he’s got the odd long ranger in him. But so does Kieran Dixon!!!

And yet Burgess has missed the same amount of tackles and made the same amount of errors as grace in half the games yet Grace is the defensive liability. Que?

We’re rubbish at the minute no doubt but we’ve got four better wingers than Grace. He is so fortunate to be playing under a great coach in a side that is a pretty good one (might even win something this year). I can’t think of too many clubs in superleague Grace would get a game at, if all the clubs had fully fit squads. Off the top of my head probably London and maybe Catalans (in front of a similar level of player in Tierney although they could put Yaha and Mead on the wing and he’d then miss out).

Reminds me of Leroy Rivett minus the Wembley performance.

Grace is playing in a winning team with some phenomenal defensive structures. Your stats don’t take into account the work that’s being done inside of him. Either you know that and you’re just being an antagonistic tw*t, or you’re severely blinkered. I’m sure I’ve even read an article where Holbrook spoke about Grace needing to improve in a number of areas.

Like I said, I’m happy to have a sensible conversation and I’m not saying he is a poor player because he plays for Saints. As for defence not good enough for a team with title aspirations, just go have a look at the trophies Budgie has won.
