If we’d have signed a mediocre full back and second rower I’d be more inclined to believe this but given we’ve signed what was the form full back in the comp last season alongside a huge potential in Greenwood I’m not too sure.

I still don’t buy the reasons given by SW as to why he’s left but equally I don’t quite buy the above reason.

I did hear from a bloke who probably doesn’t really know much that Wane has left because he doesn’t like the direction the club is heading in terms of recruitment. As I said, the bloke who told me didn’t know for certain but that was a rumour someone had told him. I took it with a pinch of salt.

If that’s true I wonder if it’s because we won’t be doing much in the way of recruiting or more the fact that we were looking to recruit to then ship out Wanes trusted players like Sam and Joel Tomkins and previously Micky Mac.

The signings of Hardaker and Greenwood are a good start for us but we’ll need at least two more to try and get us in a solid position for 2019 IMO.

I heard something pretty similar. I heard it was Wane's decision to leave due to a disagreement regarding money and recruitment with Lenaghan (not the Hardaker signature though).

Might be wrong, who knows, I'm getting second hand info from someone else. But this person up to now hadn't let me down with information regarding signings and departures.

Wane was told he no longer has free reign to sign players.

All the mess by resigning players like Sarg and Tomkins Marquee have pushed the envelope.

This is spin put out by Wanes crowd, simples.

Lenners will do the right thing for the club.

Yeah it could be interpreted either way. Hardaker is phenomenal on his day and capable of winning games from nothing. He does of course come with a risk.

Greenwood less so on both counts. Steady player, low risk. If we bring in a scrum half I’ll be happy going into next season, notwithstanding the coach appointment.

I tend to agree. I don't think that any two from three of Williams, Powell, and Woods, will enough for next season. I'm assuming we've pretty much given up on Shorrocks. Or is he even still on our books?

I’d completely forgotten about Shorrocks to be honest. I wasn’t too sold on him either, I would be very disappointed if our HB partnership was GW + Woods/Shorrocks next season.
