Wasn't that from 2016/15?'"
You can't let what pass? Did I get the year wrong? It's no secret that Wane told Faz to be more aggressive at one point. Whatever season it was it coincided with Faz losing the plot and trying to be the hard man to the detriment of his normal game. I thought that was last season but if it was the season before is that a big deal?

Well yeah?
Because your attributing Farrell performances in one year to something wane said in a different year.
If you had a problem with farrells performances in 2017 then try and find something from 2017 that wane said or did to attribute that poor form to (I'm absolutely sure you will as 99% of what you've posted for the last 3 years has had a dig at wane for some reason or other).
Has as been pointed on the other board it does get quite tiresome.

| Will never understand the Faz criticism. He's been one of our top performers for years. I fear people look at his size and assume he can't be that good, when in fact, he is. Such a great all-rounder. Massive engine to boot.
Unsung hero at times.

| Great player Liam Farrell - always feel better when he's in the team. Ruck discipline can be a bit dodgy at times but that aside pretty flawless most games.

| Brilliant player is Faz, even if his 2017 wasn't all that scintilating.
I know that his size is often cited (although in the main, by non-Wigan fans) as a reason why he's not worth an England shirt, but for me it's probably that he can't rely on size which has lead him to develop other areas of his game so well. His footwork and awareness of space & timing is better than most backs, and as others have said, can run all day.
Best second rower in the country for me, other than maybe Bateman.

As you say it could well be confidence after he had that bad injury last year.'"
Pretty obvious he was looking for Marshall so he could complete his hat trick

If he had the pace he would have flown in. No question.

Because he didn't have the pace. Otherwise he'd have obviously pinned his ears back and flown in.

No I am not. I meant the year his performances suffered were the same year in which Wane told him to be more aggressive. I thought this was last year. If it was the year before my mistake but my point was there was a recent season when he was very un-Faz like and it followed Wane telling him to be more aggressive. I think a more appropriate response to my post might have been "Didn't you mean 2016"

Dave, how come almost every thread turns into a criticism of Wane from you. He's coached Farrell since Farrell was in the U16's. How many instructions do you think Wane has given him in that time? It'll be hundreds.
I'm sure somewhere in that mind of yours this heatwave is Wane's fault.
Players have good games, average games and poor games. In Farrells case it has been a lot more of the first than the others in his career at Wigan.

Only after being chased down in a foot race by the Leeds hooker.
And I'm pretty sure that looking for Marshall for his hat trick want the reason he was run down at widnes magic castleford.

| are some folk seriously commenting that Morgan is not fast?
the guy is lightning!! he may not have that maintenance of speed over the length of the pitch but there are few in the league who accelerate as quickly as he does. I thought he played really well last night; like with Tony Clubb right near the end when they said on SKY, if he had taken it in on his own and got tackled we would have been raging saying why didn't he pass. the fact morgan appeared to surrender is irrelevant.

| A slight loss of pace is a bit of a concern, but he still has the acceleration, and bringing him against a tiring Leeds defence really brought dividends. And it was good work from Marshall to be there in support, and the try still needed a bit of scoring. As others have said, a really enjoyable night.
And Faz, yeah, he's a proper footballer. All the skills, and the work-rate to match. What's not to like?

This is miles off mate. He was caught by Matt Parcell with 5 yards start. Not by a winger, not by a half, by a hooker who isn’t exactly likened to Usein Bolt! Yes Escare has speed off the mark but last year he’d have put that ball under the sticks without a hand laid on him. Undoubtedly he’s lost a significant amount of pace which is his primary attribute
