How badly run is our commercial department compared to sides like the Rhinos
Here's a heads up to them for future years

Xmas is a time when people tend to buy each other gifts and fans of sports sides tend to like receiving their sides new shirts at the earliest opportunity, so Before Xmas would be nice

It's surprising because Lenagan seems to be a savvy businessman but these constant issues year in year out surely do the club no favours.

Had the home shirt been on sale pre Christmas id have probably just asked my missus or my parents to get it for me. They nag for ideas and aside from something like that I don't really have any. When it's left up to me to buy it I probably won't bother. That's £47 they've lost out on and many more will be in the same boat.

I was saying the same thing at work yesterday. I can't believe that IL has let it happen so frequently. Someone is responsible for this I'm surprised that IL puts up with it.

At times we are fantastic as a club eg the young lad from Hindley who designed the U19s shirt and a great video on Wigan TV to what appears to be total incompetence in launching a new kit in time for Xmas.
IL must take ultimate responsibility for this. Very disappointing.
I know I'm very critical at times but expect much better from the club.

You would think so, but it gets worse. Like many I buy the kids a top each as part of their presents and it's always on their list. I have been keeping the money back and an eye on any launch day, and now I'm thinking it's not going to come so I will do the next best thing and get them a gift voucher for warriors world so they can their own as soon as they come in stock. Went in store only to find out they have no gift vouchers left as it seems many have had the same idea. I Can't even do that now, it's past being a joke! I asked if they were getting any vouchers in before Christmas, probably not was the reply.

I went into the store with my two lads yesterday in the hope that they may have a couple of home kits in their sizes.

They didn't even have the home kit on display, I asked one of the staff why not, she wearily advised that it was being used for a photoshoot.

Whilst I was in the shop (approx 10 mins) at least a dozen people asked about the home kit.

What a clanger!!

There may be valid reasons for the kits not being available in time, change of sponsor etc, but not to have gift vouchers is inexcusable.

Well, quite. Not much use for Xmas if you don't live in Wigan, though.

Kids kits are not allowed to have sponsors on who are betting companies so were always going to be "blank" so that is no excuse for not having the junior sizes available for Christmas. The deal with the new sponsor won't have happened overnight.
