Checked Mayfair and they appear to be doing a 2 night stay over so not sure if they will do a day return trip.

Try the Whitley Bay area. Bit of a dump but easy access to Newcastle by metro and some nicer places just a couple of miles down the coast.

Phone them I would be very surprised if were not doing a day trip especially from the Hindley area !

It is compared to paying over the odds for hotel and still having to catch train/metro etc etc after driving the same amount of time

What would you consider Normal price and 'not over the odds'? Also surely the Train is much quicker than 6 hour coach journey.

Just got my tickets for Magic Weekend. Six games for just £20 if you are a season ticket holder and a tenner for concessions. Practically giving them away. Where else could you get such value?

Personally I'm happy it's Leeds. A clash of the two best supported teams in the league, if the game is as good as the last two at Citeh, then the other games are a bonus.

Nice to hear somebody not bag the fixture list. I have no issue with any of them. The games on our day this year were all superb and here's hoping for more of the same next time.
