| Quote RED LEAGUE="RED LEAGUE"Good result? It should of been about 70 or 80 I thought Wigan were alot weaker than last year and will be put to the sword next week by Warrington, Salford have nothing left after the mass exodus of last year. we've basically weve got our fringe players along with some under 20s and 2 loan signings, god the jack Murphy is awful! It's a rebuilding phase for us at Salford.'"
Churlish.
You were well beaten by a team that is also going through a big rebuilding stage.
Many of the Wigan players who waltzed around your lot tonight would have been classified as fringe players last season.

If he is being churlish then so are you. To compare our situation to that of Salford beggars belief. We should put 40+ on Salford, so should every other team in SL for the next few rounds. Our real test comes next week.

| Pleasantly suprised with Wigan tonight. We can only neat what's infront of us and that was a spirited but understrength Salford side who had a referee who seemed to have bought in to their plight on side.
Wigans defence was excellent under plenty of James Child induced pressure in the first half and that was the most pleasing aspect. I thought Faz was our MOM closely followed by Tomkins, Thornley and Matty Smith.
Guys like Faz, Smith and Thornley really looked to be trying to lay a marker down tonight.

| Was impressed with Green and Farrell. Everyone else did ok, I worry about our props though, they will get walked over next week, we need a real house prop.

I thought Sam 3, Thornley 1, but both Beeb and Sky report 2 each. Which is correct?

| It was definitely 3 for Sam.
I was there and saw it, plus GMR are reporting a Sam Hat-Trick.

| Question... When Sam clearly had his foot in touch, then used his hand to tap the ball that was still in the field of play kicked by a salford player, the scrum was given to Salford, but an argument followed.
Was he hoping to take advantage of a rule I know nothing about or was it a brain bubble?

the is new rule but not sure how it works as the was the sam incident plus salford kicked the ball out when we were attacking and they got the 20 metre restart instead of a goal line drop out
