What I read into that is that Deacon may yet be doing another year, hence delaying his move into assistant for a while.

There is an advert in today'sLeague Weekly for the position of Assistant Coach at Wigan Warriors. and also for full time and part time Junior coaches. The advert is definately for the position of Asst. head coach and not an additional coach.

It is for an additional assistant coach.
It could mean that Wane is taking over as head coach, and to cover his inexperience in that position Wigan are having two assistant coaches to help him.
I would expect Deacon to be one and Sculthorpe the other, but don't rule out a certain Shaun Edwards being somewhere in the equation. |

Just read it again ' B ' The Advert heading says Assistant coach but when you read the microscopic print lower down it says additional. ( Must remember to always read the small print in future.   |

As people have pointed out it says additional assistant coach which means that one is already lined up. This could be Wane, Sculthorpe or anyone else for that matter.
I don't think anyone's looked at it this way because I believe it's highly unlikely but maybe the delay announcing our new head coach is because Wane is going over to be Madge's assistant

I'm now beginning to think that you are obsessed........
Why on earth would Edwards want to leave RU though? Massive opportunity there.
If he ever was to come back to RL though, it would make sense to do it as an assistant first. Not sure he could serve under Wane though?? |
