I think above is about as far from the truth as you can possibly get on this.

He has clearly considered staying and its down to Adam Blair leaving the Storm the opportunity has arisen to return to them.

Sometimes things are as simple and straightforward as they present themselves

He's leaving for the right reasons and has given 100% everytime he's turned out for us this year. Hopefully we can send him back with some silverware!

On a side note of who to replace him with, do people think we have enough SR cover next year in Hock, Hansen, Farrell and Tuson or should another SR come in? At the minute I think we definitely need a direct replacement for Deacs (possibly Mellor, not seen enough of him to comment), but now losing Hoffman and probably Coley we could do with another 1 or 2 experienced players in the forwards.

"Opportunity"? Adam Blair was out of contract at the Storm and always leaving, Hoffman signed a one year contract at Wigan and was always returning. Nothing changed on that front since the day Hoffman signed for Wigan.

Got sorted out rather quickly after the Blair move was announced didn't it? Anyone would think they had a deal lined up or something.

I cant belive that Hoffman has being working on securing his contract with the storm for next year, whilst still under contract with wigan.

It is obvious that he is not giving us his full attention........

The Melbourne fans seem less than enthralled about Hoffman's return. Something which really shocks me.

Blair replaced with Hoffman.

Hoffman is a brilliant player but even I would be a little dissapointed with that. Blair has the x-factor which Hoffman lacks. Blair is a world-class player.

Was always here for 12 months only but has been a model professional.

He must be replaced by a top drawer centre.

If we get a top centre then Joel could move back to the pack to replace Hoffman. I do like the idea of developing Joel as a centre though.

I was thinking about this as well, although I like the idea of JT as a big, athletic centre. Especially after a full pre-season there. As we know top centre options are few and far between next year (unless we can pursuade a certain player who has just announced his retirement to give a year in SL a go

)

Not for me.

If we can't recruite a top class Centre on a long term deal, then give someone in the Academy a chance. Don't want the club signing expensive Aussies looking for a cheque, like in the previous regime.
