| Club over Country every time.
I wouldn't swap one of Wigan's Charity Shield wins for an Ireland RL World Cup win

Pat Richards ?
Brian Carney would have missed out.
On the whole, putting weak international sides such as Ireland Scotland and Wales does one thing only - boost the number of teams in an event. We need quality not quantity. Simple.

| Quote: 21-12 "Sorry I have to disagree, there was grown men in tears at old trafford, the club game has far more passion. Would you be in tears if England beat Australia??'"
I am not sure you can disagree with my feelings you may not share them fair enough. I am a rugby league supporter over everything. I love to watch rugby and play it at every level. For me if Wigan were to go bust and cease to exist tomorrow I would be gutted but life would go on. Not being a Wiganer I try to watch at least one game live a weekend that may not be Wigan as its difficult being a dad with 2 young kids working all week training 4/5 nights a week, weekends have to be given to my family so I save trips to the DW for special occasions and try to stay local for my live fix and I love every game I attend. Be it SL or National League or amateur if i am not playing.
I am a passionate follower of Wigan and the transformation this season has filled me with joy, my wife a non rugby follower has noted my mood change this season, but I would trade all that to see us win a meaningful international series. To me there is no bigger enemy than the Aussies and I would give my left nut to see us turn them over and ram it down their arrogant throats.

| Rugby league is tribal, always has been -and my tribe is Wigan. Can't comment on England/GB because I have strong allegiance to two separate countries so am always a bit conflicted when it comes to the international scene. Well, apart from supporting anyone against Australia, of course.

| Quote: 21-12 "Reading a few posts on other sites across RL fans and in general I have noticed a lack of passion and motivation in people towards England and internationals in general. Personally, I have never had a REAL passion for the internationals and have always been a "club before country" person. What is everyone else's feelings towards Internationals...
Are you THAT bothered??'"
I certainly am. It costing me a shed load of dosh to go over to Aus next week. I suspect the fans that put club over country either weren't around or didn't support RL in the 80`s and early 90's. I can still remember some epic games between GB and Aus where the atmosphere was truly electric, even on a par with the grand final win.
I feel the RL have neglected the international game since around the mid nineties onwards and have devalued internationals by splitting GB up.
As esctatic as I was last week when we became Champions, winning the four nations or the ashes would to me be a far bigger achievement.

So would I. The Grand Final win was a wonderful boost for Wigan and I'm stilol wallowing in the aftermath but a World Cup win would be a great boost for our game and therefore all the clubs.
We only had to wait 12 years for the Superleague win but we have waited 40 years for a series or World Cup win over the Aussies.

| I'm a big patriotic kind of guy but I just can't muster any enthusiasm anymore for International RL. I went to the England V Oz game at Robin Park last year but that was more to see the Aussies in the flesh than anything else.

Don't they get government funding. I think that's one of the reasons we have separate teams.

| All for Internationals, but they need to get the mix right betwen 4 nations, World Cup and Ashes tours.
Couldn't whack seeing Wigan play the Aussies followed by an Ashes series, and when the Lions go down under heading to CP early morning, to watch the Ashes Tests on TV with a bacon buttie & a few sherberts.
Just imagine how great it would be for RL if we could turn over the Aussies in a 3 test series and bring back the Ashes

| Wigan for me everytime.
I'm a Wiganer first and English/British second.
Not saying its necessarily right but its Just the way it is for me.Nothing could have made me prouder than seeing us regain the title a fortnight ago.(except maybe a World Club Championship win to go with it)

| Why is there any need to choose between Wigan and England? There isnt. I feel passionate about watching England because im pretty patriotic and love watching people from my country battling with the best from other countries. Imagine England winning the world cup or an ashes series against the Aussies? The boom would be massive because when you turn the aussies over in a series or win a world cup everybody takes notice.
