It isn't unusual for teams to sign players from adjoining towns. As for the 'lazy scouting' comment, that is truly cretinous.

We have signed players from South Wales, North Wales, Cumbria and West Yorkshire. I would wager Peter Farrell's car has a fair few miles on the clock.

He's one of my younger brothers best mates, he is a massive Wigan fan and i know the reason why he's gone to Warrington, it's nothing to do with money. I'm not going to post it because it wouldn't be fair to him but i fully understand his reason and it makes a lot of sense for a lad with a decent level of intelligence.

Callum Wright left Warrington because the deal on offer was surpassed by Wigan. Money wasn't the issue the peripheral issues were better at Wigan. As a fan his "old fella" will be in turmoil as he his absolutely Warington through and through. As a Dad he is making sure his son is well catered for. Another young lad by the name of Andre (can't do his surname) from good New Zealand stock went to Saints at the same time for the same reasons. At the time it seems that Warrington were not up to speed with things and as a result have lost out on two very good players.
