It looks like my theory that everything's being planned for the 2011 season is coming true, just look at the things divulged about the Noble situation tonight as well as the fact that no players are coming in for next year, I just hope that what ever he has planned for 2011 is worth it.

Personally I'm happy. News that we won't be signing any over-inflated Australians this year is good news. Most of them are over-hyped in the whole league not just at Wigan. We should stick to kiwis!

Presumably he is talking about the year to 30.11.08. Given we made a £685k loss in the year to 30.11.07 (per the accounts filed at Co's House) its not as bad as it seems. Would indicate we are improving on the financial front. |

IL stated that the Gleeson transfer fee was a factor in that, also the loss of shirt sales due to the sponsor being late and the pre-Christmas market not being available, another factor is the economic climate which obviously is the same for every club in Super League. |

a couple of reasons mentioned were lower merchendise sales due to it coming out late (8,000 replica shirts sold compared to 16,000 last year) and also the transfer fee for gleeson. it was mentioned however that should the team reach the challenge cup final, the loss could very well become a profit as the cup final is estimated to be worth £250,000 |
