It's worth the risk tbh, Bailey while he is here will always be a leader but if Fielden was given the tag I think we could see an improvement. I am not sure the other players respect him enough, apparently he trains on his own alot.

| Without a doubt Bailey, O'Loughlin i still think is a good captain in terms of setting the example, and possibly the way he is in the dressing room/training ground etc. But all i ever see on the pitch is Bailey doing the talking.
In terms of resigning Bailey, i think that if we can get 2 recruits of the right quality from aus [i.e a prop and a hb then bailey would go. If not, if the right quality of quota player was not available then i'd be perfectly happy for him to resign for 1 year, with the option of a 2nd in our favour.
same goes for Phelps as well tbh, he's a decent player, but not worthy of a quota spot. But if there were no-one better available, then quite happy to keep him in the squad. [Phelps is looking more assured with every game at FB imo btw

| I agree Fielden, it's got to be worth a shot see if it will make him lead from the front and buck his ideas up.

Just joking, Bailey for me - and he would also get another year for me.

Very good call.
Sam is a real leader, but it will be too much for him at this time.
Fielden or Bailey for me.

I've always wondered whether those who have watched Sam come through the age groups, believe he could go onto become Wigan captain.
