Oh yeah I don't deny that, but I think the time scale people are saying on here (2-3years) is unrealistic.

I have no doubts he'll return to Wigan one day - he's said it himself he want's too. Just not in the forseeable future IMHO.

Would love it even more if he decided that being with the Lions in SA was the pinnacle for his RU coaching career and came to a conclusion that the Wigan job was his future from 2010 as a new challenge. A long shot, but its a strange world and you just never know. If we made him a huge offer, theres only the age of his kid that stands in the way.

After reading Radders book and seeing his passion on the sidelines in SA, I am more convinced than ever that he is the right person to change the culture at Wigan and get the most out of the current squad and / or prospects from the reserves. He has the RL experience and was pretty much coaching the team in the Doraghy era so his potential to adapt shouldn't be questioned, whilst his coaching ability in RU has proven outstanding.

Come on Ian, break the bank and bring him home!!!
