He didn't have to, would never do, had too much class, too much pride, too much passion for his club, and had better things to do, all of these Lee has never had.

| Lee Briers has been a class player for Warrington. Yes, a p!llock at times, but if you can't see the influence he has had on that side then I'm afraid you know b*gger all about Rugby League.
I can't stand the man, but he has been a great player for Warrington.
If he wasn't so good, none of us Wigan fans would be bothered about him. As my mam says, you only call the good uns.

As much as I can see why he winds people up, I like the fact that he isn't a robot on the pitch. He likes to express himself, and he has a personality, unlike players like Iestyn Harris and Kevin Sinfield.

I know enough about rugby league to know that "Good un's" prove themselves above what they do for their club alone, it's about their attitude for the game, their fellow players, how they impact the sport with their talent, oh yes Lee has that talent, always has, but has never used it properly, or ever done his self justice, a good rugby brain, but an attitude that stinks at times, if he had applied himself to 50% of other half backs of the last 10 years he would have been a walk in for GB, but he never did, did he, and that is a great shame, but shows he is a good player, but never a "Good un"` as we know it.

| Briers also told the ball boy off for getting the ball back too quickly when they were having a rest behind the sticks.

| Quote Ged Byrne's Shammy="Ged Byrne's Shammy"Why this comes a surpise is beyond me, this idiot has never been any different, there have been lots of threads about the most hated players etc etc, and this idiot is always number 1, 3rd one into every tackle, niggling digs in the tackle, and the first one to leg it, in the modern day, the most annoying player and one of the biggest wan@**s, bar none.'"
This is a thread about Lee Briers, not Terry Newton.
Though I don't personally know if he's a wan@**, I've never met him, though it's my guess that he does indulge in a bout of choking the chicken once in a while, so he probably is.

He hasn't, he's flattered to deceive a lot of the time. He's shown flashes of brilliance, but he's not been consistent enough and has far too many flaws in his game to be regarded as a great.
