Pretty obvious really. The Hull derby is competitive, with two teams from the city (i.e. it's a [ireal[/i derby), with the most passionate fans in the game always packing both grounds.

Apart from Wigan, I've got more friends at St Helens than any other club. Pre-match, they are generally a good bunch and for a derby, everybody is generally well behaved and in good spirits.

In many countries the term local derby, or simply just derby, means a sporting fixture between two local rivals.

The term is sometimes also misused to describe major rivalries in which both clubs have substantial regional or national followings.

The first Para is the Hull derby as both team are local due to been from the same city.

Second para is saints / wigan derby. (IE the terminology is misused as your followings are regional and not split within a city (locality))
