The hand in the fire or jump off a cliff quote does not really equate though.
If they did they would get burned or break a leg.
The point is that up until this video, if that was the culture then you could say well other top pros get tanked up and its not effected their careers. So that as an example of what you can do or get away with is not equivalent to putting ones hand in the fire.
Given that this has now come out, some younger players may actually learn from it that getting tanked up could be career threatening so may put more of them off doing the same. |

He's only part way through his second season in Aus. He hasn't been in favour this season so he maybe looking for a release now but I very much doubt he signed 6 months ago, that would be 3 months before the NRL season started so he wouldn't have known how things would turn out. |

A particularly nasty incident displaying the arrogance of players in today's game but I sure that this time next year the Tomkins debacle will fade into history and will be totally overshadowed by the antics and vile doings of Zak Hardaker who will without doubt disgrace himself and the club with his behaviour.
And this of you who say it's sour grapes from a Rhinos fan all I will say is the day Castleford signed him I said to him "Hardaker will drag your club through the mud as its in his nature and he has no self control" to which he said " no way Powell is the best coach around for discipline"
Well believe me whatever you think of McDermott ( I am no fan of his) and Powell they have both failed and whoever you get at Wigan to replace Wane will fail again.
Hardaker is a liability and should be removed from Rugby league
