It's a perfectly viable and justifiable reason. As a BUSINESS, you want to operate at MAXIMUM PROFIT. These guidelines are very real, and they ARE fining for it... If you don't have to have continuous meetings on how to reduce your carbon footprint, you can focus on what really matters... Running a Rugby Club...

| To be fair to Saints from what I have read and my understanding (admittedly limited on the subject) is that the new Saints Stadium is very ECO friendly.
But to answer Saints Fans point regarding the WCC being played in March (undersoil heating) It has only been played once in March (and that was 1st March 2009) in the past twelve years.

| Most modern stadia are pretty much soulless looking but personally i don't care, they serve their purpose. I'm sure if Wigan RL decided to build their own stadium it would be pretty much the same standard as Saints.

| Decent looking stadium!
What makes me jealous is the fact that whoever spelt out the word Saints on the stand using white seats new what they were doing. Unlike the frankly horrible half d attempt to write Wigan in seats that we have at the DW. Makes me cringe everytime I look at it.

| I didn't realise they were only bothering to finish one stand and leaving the rest looking like a lot of scaffolding.
Also, where's the main car park going to be?

| I think the new Saints Stadium really looks the part, but I wonder how many people have actually picked up on the fact that, whilst the stadium looks from the air like it's been built as a bowl, it's only actually four stands (similar to DW and HJ) with no corners, and the walls at the back of the stands don't reach the roof. I hope this doesnt compromise the atmosphere.

I think there are plans for the multi storey car park in town(about 5/10 mins walk from the new stadium) to be the away fans car park.

There is going to be cladding around the rest of the stadium, which is due to be finished by the start of the new season. The cladding will fall one metre short of the roof and the reason for that is to minimise wind resistence which would put pressure on the structure.
Two of the corners are filled in (south east and south west) and they are the designated family areas.
The roof is continuous and there are no pillars or anything to block views.
There are approximately 1600 car parking spaces for use by fans and these are located in the town centre multistoreys plus nearby retail outlets who have come to agreements with Saints about parking.
