Absolutely. Rare but costly blip in an otherwise great final performance from Matty Bowen.

Yeah I vaguely remember Tony Clubb not covering himself in glory at that precise moment either. I agree with both sides on this, it was a knock on but even kids know you play to the whistle.

| 2014 for obvious an obvious reason. We still could have won that game.
And 2015 GFs still irk me. We could/should of won them games.
Although I guess 2013 (being 16-2 down) and 2016 (we had no right to even get to GF with all the injuries) make up for it.

There comes a point where you have to just take it on the chin. They won, we lost - fair play to them. I feel lucky to be a fan of a club who are regularly involved in semi-finals and finals where you can experience the emotional highs and lows that sport can provide.
I thought Tony Smith made a really good comment after the 2016 GF when he was asked about how gutted his players would be. He said there's a really easy way of avoiding that horrible feeling when you lose a final - you just don't play in them.
You can't win trophies without the risk of losing in finals - I'd much rather be in this position than a fan of a team who never get there.

NEVER be afraid to play in big games, embrace it, challenge yourselves and if you do lose dust yourself down and improve and go again.
Remember a certain poster who didn't want to play the roosters because we couldn't win etc.
Embarrassing

| As I said a couple of years ago. He just isn’t that good. His defensive positioning is one of the worst I’ve ever seen in a winger and he can’t tackle for toffee. That’s why he’s at Salford

Ultimately wasn't good enough I suppose. I liked him and he always seems lively and looked for work. I suppose the true sign is where he ended up. We sent him out on loan, he signed for Bradford for a season and then worked his way down the leagues.
