What the club has done in regard to the changing of the badge and putting black instead of white in the the club shirt is only showing another example of how pride, tradition and history of the club has been pushed into the dustbin by the club.

Anyone who thinks that the re-branding is going to result in hundreds of new younger supporters flocking to the club is living in cloud cuckoo land.

Has the Latics got rid of their Blue and White stripes, St Helens their White shirt with the Red Vee, Celtic their famous Green and White Hoops, United their Red shirt, City their Sky Blue shirt et, etc.

The answer is a massive NO, because they know that if they did, there would not only be big outcry by THEIR supporters, but the sale of club shirts would be decimated.

But I am coming to the conclusion that some supporters will accept anything, even a pink shirt with yellow dots and a badge showing Mickey Mouse as long as we are winning games!

How much money they have is irrelevant. It's how much they pay us that counts.
