Usually people that go wading through other people’s post history are renowned for their sense of humour so I’m really surprised you never got it.

Quite a few Warrington fans had this attitude prior to the CC semi against Hull. 'Wouldn't be such a bad thing if we lose the semi to avoid a shellacking off Saints'. Even if that whooping had have taken place you'd still always want your team to make the final. Not every non-Wigan fan wants Salford to win tomorrow, I'll be supporting Wigan for the reason you'd stand the best chance of beating that lot in the final.

I will also be hoping for a Wigan win. I think Wigan have every chance at Old Trafford and I truly hope they do beat Saints! My estimation of the St Helens club sank dramatically after their childish sour graping following their embarrassing show at Wembley

Someone said above that Warrington fans, in the main, said the same before the CC Final. I’m not sure you’d have found many Warrington fans going to Wembley believing they could win rather than hoping. That’s where us or Salford fans will be come next Saturday.

It’s a one off game. Anything can happen and form is out of the window.

I think Saints will win (for the 1000000000th time) but I’m still going hoping for a win. And one which is entirely possible.

If the right honourable gentleman gets scared about a better team winning one would suggest he ceases and desists from watching any form of sport.

I want Wigan to win as I'm a Wigan supporter.
Whatever happens the following Saturday is another matter.

I wont be at the game. I was meaning outside of game time somewhere on a weekend. Maybe a pub somewhere or the grand final, ill be going there no matter who wins, we go every year.

Like yourself there is only one outcome today that wont ruin my weekend - a Wigan win. I admire Salford, Ian Watson should be SL coach of the year (Danny Ward a close 2nd) and tonight will be another really tough game. However I think we should have enough in the tank to do it.

As a fan of the game I dont think Salford winning the Grand Fi al would be a kiss of life for the game. Les Catalans won the CC and I've not seen anything to suggest it has changed much over there. It would be unbelievable for Salford as a club - as it would any club - overall for the game I'm not sure.

I share your pessimism at the prospect of meeting Saints again in a final, but remember anything can happen in a final. We know how to win big one off matches. A rainy night at Old Trafford, low scoring first half and a 6 point ball game with 10 minutes to go and it is a whole other story. We have to be in it to win it.

Cant dismiss the challenge tonight. This will be a tough game.
