I know they wouldn't do it as it might diminish shirt sales, but I'd love to see our away strip being the Latics' home strip, and vice versa. Might help foster a culture of supporting both teams a bit more.

It's ironic that our original colours were blue and white hoops(hence why we have had it so often as an away kit) and Latics original colours were red and white stripes.

IMO the away kit should, as above, be blue and white hoops with blue shorts. So traditional and historic, reminds me if many away games at Saints on Boxing Days and Good Friday. And obviously 89 and 91

Iregular hoops for home, Canterbury style blue V for the away. Job done.

Good options.

Personally I would opt for:

1 - Irregular cherry and white home with same in blue as away kit
2 - Irregular cherry and white home with all red away kit and a blue alternate
3 - Irregular cherry and white home with all black away
